Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials launches Promoted Chat campaign on Kik with a special execution of GIFs

If you’re waiting in anticipation for Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials to drop on September 18, you might be happy to know that there’s a way for you to enjoy the movie before it even hits theaters, and it requires only Kik Messenger on your iOS or Android device (hopefully Kik will update its Windows Phone app so we can partake in the fun too).

With the new “TalktoWCKD” Kik Promoted Chat launching today, you can view exclusive GIFs of never-before-seen moments from the movie.

Says Kik on its blog:

“TalktoWCKD” immerses fans in the world of Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials by putting them in the shoes of the Gladers, the group of teens challenged to solve the trials of The Scorch, and gives fans an opportunity to speak directly with the mysterious organization WCKD.

Kik also notes that this launch marks the “first time native GIFs have been used” on the Kik messaging platform, marking the second “first” that the company has had in less than a month.

When you add the TalktoWCKD account to your contacts and engage it in chat, you can share the GIFs you receive with your friends. You’ll also apparently be able to purchase movie tickets through Kik’s in-app browser.
